In the Paris Climate Conference December2015 (COP21), 195 countries adopted the first-ever universal legally binding global climate deal. The agreement sets out a global action plan to put the world on one track to avoid dangerous climate change, a long term goal of keeping the increase in global average temperature to well below 2.degree centigrade above pre-industrial levels
As per the Indian forest policy every state should have 33% of tree cover; However, India covered 24.16% of total geographical area. Telangana state covered 25.16% and Andhra Pradesh covered with 22.62% only. To achieve 33% green cover in India all states should develop fast- growing forest tree species in degraded and waste lands.to convert our country as Climate Smart India.
